ACTOR ADRIANO GIANNINI AND DIRECTOR CLAUDIO GIOVANNESI ACCLAIMED AT THE AMERICAN PREMIERE OF THE MOVIE “THE HOUSE ON THE CLOUDS” LOS ANGELES, 2/22/09 - Extraordinary success and additional screenings in Hollywood for 'La casa sulle Nuvole' helmed by first-time director Claudio Giovannesi and presented by the leading actor, Adriano Giannini, one of the very few Italian actors to be well known in the States where he shot a film opposite Madonna. The American premiere of the film produced and distributed by Istituto Luce, opening on April 3rd, has been a late addition to Los Angeles, Italia Film Fest at the Chinese Theatre. The film, shot in Morocco, tells the story of Michele and Lorenzo –portrayed by Emmanuelle Bose currently in the Italian theatres with 'Questa piccolo grande amore' – two brothers with a turbulent relationship. In order to save their house, they leave to Africa looking for their estranged father. The difficulties they meet during their search will help them to overcome their problems and to find a never-known before serenity. Among the other actors, Paolo Sassanelli and Emilio Bonucci. 'I started from a documentary about the Italians in Morocco – declared the director – and many of them are actually appearing in the films playing the roles of themselves.” Giannini has praised the young director: “I have fallen in love with my character; the six-week shooting in Morocco, where we have really made a journey to the border with Algeria, has been really exceptional and I do hope to work again soon with Giovannesi''. At Los Angeles, Italia Giannini has also presented 'Sandrine nella pioggia' by Tonino Zangardi. Among the actor’s future plans, a TV series as well as his debut behind the camera.
