THE 3rd ROMA FICTION FEST PRESENTED AT L.A. ITALIA 2009 WITH THE FIRST IMAGES OF THE GIULIO BASE’S “DOC WEST” STARRING TERRENCE HILL AND PAUL SORVINO

LOS ANGELES, 2/22/09 – Three Oscar winners, screenwriters and directors Paul Haggis,
Bobby Moresco and Steven Zaillian, attended the official announcement of the 3rd Roma Fiction fest ' in Hollywood, within 'Los Angeles, Italia' . The event devoted,
to Italian and International fiction - that last year attracted more than 40,000 people–
will take place in Rome from July 6th to 11th, with a particular focus on the market.
The international presentation of the event at the Chinese Theatre, in Los Angeles
featured the screening of the first unseen images of Doc West, the fiction directed by
Giulio Base and recently shot in New Mexico, in the Bonanza Creek ranch,
a cinematic village created by Italian crews for Lucky Luke and Bonanza.
The two-episode TV movie produced by Mediaset will feature Terence Hill and
Will be aired in spring. The fiction intends to revive the western genre also in Italy after the
recent and successful revival in the US
In order to celebrate Italian fictions, the night ended with a great party at Trastevere
Lounge, in the very heart of Hollywood, where the preparatory works for the Oscar night were currently under way. The announcement of the festival was also the occasion
to promote the Roma-Lazio Film Commission and in particular the new benefits
envisaged by the region to attract international productions.
