NIAF C0-SPONSORS ITALIAN FILM FEST DURING THE OSCAR WEEK IN LOS ANGELES. TODAY THE SPECIAL SCREENING WITH FRANCO NERO'S LATEST MOVIE
LOS ANGELES – March 1, 2006 - The film of legendary director Martin Scorsese will close the first annual Los Angeles - Film, Fashion and Food Fest. The event, held during the Academy Award week and the 1st National Italian American Foundation’s (NIAF) Gala Convention week-end, runs at Mann Chinese 6 Thetater in Hollywood. All movie events are free and open to the public.
Screenings of Mr. Scorsese film "My Voyage in Italia" will be shown on Saturady at 12 pm.
Actor Franco Nero is actually involved to promote ‘’Made in Italy’’ movies in the United States. He also is slated for other appearances during the festival. Mr. Nero’s newest film , Forever Blues , will be shown today at 7 p.m..
NIAF is a co-sponsor of Los Angeles, Italia, which is organized by Capri in the World Institute in collaboration with Cim Group Inc, Lazio Region of Italy and RAI Trade. "Los Angeles, Italia" brings together directors, actors, the best new Italian productions, and classic films for seven days of screenings, discussions and premieres to promote the new Italian cinema and renew interest in its great masters.
During the evening of March 3rd, almost 1,000 people from across America and Italy will meet in the Regent Beverly Wilshire to attend NIAF’s Gala. Actors Gary Sinise, Ernest Borgnine and Antonio Sabato, Jr. will join the evening.
